6 days to go before the National Freedom Climb 2011, now the excitement begins! Akyaters Adventure Club together with Hook Outdoors, LOBO Mountaineers, AKMA-TK, Sylvan Omni and a Freelance Group are the registrants for Mt. Gulugod Baboy and to help support DENR’s National Greening Program.

Naalala ko pa nung aking unang inakyat ang bundok Romelo, kilala sa bansag na “Famy”. Putik ang aking unang hinakbangan mula sa paanan hangang sa kami ay makarating sa campsite. Pinag-piyestahan kami ng mga lematiks sa pagaakalang malinis ang mga dugo naming mayaman sa kolesterol. Sangkaterbang delata, instant noodles at alak, ang tangi naming baon. Ito rin ang gumising sa aking isipan na ang ako pala ay buhay pa sa kabila ng aking pagkakalugmok sa magulong buhay sa siyudad. j3j3j3! – JP Platilla
